Memory Drive is an intergenerational project in which a special group of teen volunteers interviewed adults in our communities to document stories from their school years. The teens were trained to use our new A/V equipment which was purchased in partnership with the Rotary Club of Darien. The teens were also taught interviewing skills by Beth LaMie, a personal historian from Kankakee, IL. The teens worked together to create and edit a multimedia clip for each interview, ultimately creating a digital story collection that we are pleased to share. The program was part of our 2014 Summer Reading Challenge, Make Some Noise.

Memory Drive was made possible due to our teen volunteers (Abhishek, Alex, Brandon, Carson, Haohao, Jessica, Kate, and Sebastian) and the adult participants who were willing to take the time to share their experiences (Bob Erickson, Joe Kolibab, Ruth and Richard Levi, Kris Sant, Jim Waszak, and Jim Winfield). A special thank you to the generous members of the Rotary Club of Darien.
